This boy is the absolute definition of a true best friend. Gentle, affectionate, loyal, and full of love; Benny embodies all of the qualities that earned dogs that infamous title. He has an adorable, frisky play style that can’t help but make you smile and his easy-going nature makes him an absolute joy to spend time with.
Until recently, Benny had been the longest-stay dog at Austin Animal Center and a part of the wonderful Hard Luck Hounds program. He arrived at the shelter after his owner died and neighbors saw that the “family friend’ he’d ended up with was mistreating him. After months of being overlooked for adoption, the adorable, chunky love muffin formerly known as Buddy was pulled from the shelter by Love-A-Bull.
It looks like this boy’s luck is changing as he travels the road that’s going to finally lead him home to stay! We have been smitten with this boy for quite some time and ask only that you go and meet him. We’ve got no doubt that he’ll win you over with heart alone, but the adorable, cuddly package doesn’t hurt either!
