Mimi

Mimi is the kind of dog who squishes your heart.  She loves people and is clearly hungry for attention and affection.  A simple kind word, look, or gesture and she lights up with gratitude.

Mimi is the second longest-stay dog at Austin Animal Center and recently started attending our classes to get some help with her dog/dog skills.  The shelter is overwhelming for her but, given the freedom and opportunity to make good choices, it’s clear this non-confrontational girl wants nothing but peace.  Our first training session with Mimi was one of those magical moments where everything clicks and the dog can’t believe that humans finally understand what they’ve been trying to say all along.

Mimi hasn’t had an easy life but hardship has not diminished her capacity for love and trust one bit.  She deserves to be heard, to be valued, and to be seen for the truly beautiful girl she is, inside and out.  Does your heart have a special place for Mimi?
